ELIMINATING UNCERTAINTIES IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF BACTERIAL SEPSIS

Our novel point-of-care diagnostic device hopes to eliminate uncertainties in the diagnosis of bacterial sepsis and to differentiate this against self-limiting viral infections, giving the healthcare professional a peace in mind when considering the appropriate treatment of patients.

We utilise a simple finger-prick sample and aim to provide a result in as little time as possible, so as not to induce further delay in treatment, should it be the deadly bacterial sepsis.
